Audric Curtis D.

Private tutor in Stockton, KS

Education

I took up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics at De La Salle University-Manila since 2009 until 2012. Then, I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (Secondary Level) last March 2013. After that, I took up Masters of Science in Teaching major in Mathematics at the same institution since 2013 until 2018. I had attended various seminars and talks held at De La Salle University, UP Diliman, Ateneo De Manila University and Sta. Isabel College.

Experience

I had worked as a private tutor since 2013 until 2016. I resumed working as a private tutor last August 2017. I had tutored students in various levels in High School and with special needs as well. I had taught them in Math and all subjects. I also worked as an Assistant Instructor at Kumon Congressional-Visayas Avenue since September 2012 until March 2013 and January 2016 until May 2016. During my assistant instructor days, I had taught Kumon Math higher levels with students with different grade levels. In terms of teaching experience, I had taught at Villagers Montessori College from June 2016 to April 2018. I handled Grade 7 Mathematics for two years and General Mathematics and Statistics and Probability for one year there. I also had taught at Saint Patrick School of Quezon City from June 2018 until April 2019. I had handled Grades 7 and 8 and 11-STEM students. I am currently handling Grades 11 and 12 students in Math and Research at Mataas Na Paaralang Neptali A. Gonzales since October 2020 until present. I want to be a tutor because I want my tutees to improve their study habits, values as a learner and life skills they need to use in the future. Besides, my goals are to enhance their mathematical skills required for higher levels and appreciate Math despite of their struggles and weakness towards the subject itself. I always make sure that the tutee will learn the lesson and understand as well before I end the session. I had studied Kumon Math since April 2006 until February 2010 and completed the program as well. I usually maximize the given time period for each tutee and extend especially when needed. I also enable the students to meet the learning expectations for that particular lesson. I always provide exercises for my tutees especially during their preparation for their written works particularly quizzes, long tests and quarterly examinations. Whenever the tutee makes good progress in his studies, I give rewards for him to motivate in studying.
